Good end of one

As one year ends and the next begins I'm thinking about the possibilities of 2008. I have already dubbed 2008 the "Year of Marta." The thing is I really think it's the beginning of a an new era for me. I feel like all the "tests", waiting and wishing is over. I used to yell at the greater powers and wonder "why are you testing me?' The only thing I can figure is that when things would finally start going my way I would feel that I earned it and fight like hell to keep it and work harder to make it happen. That seems to be the case! I want to be able to pay my bills and have money left over for frivolous things like new shoes, fix my car, going out to dinner with my friends . . . the possibilities are endless! I think the hardest part of the next six months will be possibly missing my sleep. I am a bear about getting my sleep. I don't want to run myself down so I gotta keep it in gear to get everything done so I can get sleep too. I support my kids in the goals they want. I hope Nick gets his life turned around and finds peace within himself. He is smart and could do anything he sets his mind to. Unfortunately he gets bored and wants instant gratification. Wil starts back to school in January as a Chef rather than getting his Associates as well. I wish he would have stayed in the Associates in case he wants to go back to school for something else in his old age. No telling a stubborn German-JewishIrishSwedishCroationIndian male anything.

I hope things go well for all of you. Whatever you are reaching for I hope you get it. My words for the year of Marta are:

Perseverance Courage Commitment

Feeling the Cheer

I am really feeling the cheer this Holiday season. I am happier with Me, work, going to school in January and feeling better from the inside out. I am so thankful I got health care through my job and got things figured out.

I don't feel old but I am in perimenopause. For those that don't know what that is it's the symptoms that lead up to Menopause. Menopause is when a woman stops menstruating for over a year. Peri is the hot flashes. the hormonal hysteria/mood swings , thyroid issues that cause weight gain and hair loss and the worst possibility is loss of sexual interest!

Today I saw a wonderful feel good movie. I highly recommend everyone go see, "Juno". Wil loved it, I loved it and Brian and his mom loved it! It is a laugh out loud enchanting flick. Check it out!
