Don't forget to change the clocks!

I find it funny how some electronics help themselves while others wait for us to notice and help them. The cable box and computer changed the time for themselves while the cell phone, land line, microwave and everything else waiting patiently for me to get to them. It surprised me that the cell phone was not automatic.

It was nice to have my boys,Joseph and Cohen over night Friday night. It was some extra time with my boys I was glad to have. Joseph and Cohen were in town for a concert and crashed at my place after. I'm so glad to have the space!

It was also good to see Deeg Friday night. He came over for a late dinner after spending time with his daughter. I enjoy having the freedom of my own place with room to do things. We made dinner and had some nice red wine, Watched a TV show he is addicted to as well as Anchor Man. I hadn't yet seen it and enjoyed it. The boys had already seen it but Wil hung out with us for a while. We lost my assigned parking spot when we went to the store after dinner and got something for desert. The lot is to be re paved and painted soon but until then most of the numbers are beyond faded so. . .

Since starting my training I have had a headache. I thought it was because I was not used to using my reading glasses much. I really rarely use them. I saw a commercial for an eyeglasses special at Binyons so I went there yesterday. Their frames were not attractive and I didn't like the feel of the joint. There was also a LensCrafters in "my mall" so after cruising the Gap sale for work clothes I went there.

I decided to shop for frames first to make sure there were some nice ones. I found 6 really cool frames. If I have to get glasses they were going to be fun! The optometrist was already gone for the day so after picking and taking prices I went home. The eye exam is separate and to be honest with you I was skeptical about an eye exam done in a mall. Boy was I wrong.

Not only did they check my vision but they also did a glaucoma check, pupils, cornea and other stuff I cant remember. It took almost an hour and felt like every possible eye thing was gone over. They answered all my questions and explained everything as they went along. I would highly recommend to anyone to take advantage of an eye exam if you have not done so in awhile. I felt I got my $69. Worth. My glaucoma check flagged something I've been worried about. I have been borderline glaucoma for 5 years. My left eye checked very high so they checked it again. It was still high and they have a return visit in one month. If it isn't better I will need to go to a specialist. Ouch.

So yes, I now wear glasses all the time. My reading glasses I had were a joke! The old prescription was plus 25 which is now plus 150. I do feel better (no headache) but have to adjust to all glasses all the time. I really like what I picked. I'll try to get a picture up in the next few days!

Thanks pdxcat,

I just remember when I first got my reading glasses I ran onto door jams and such. I'm not usually a klutz. :)

How are you doing? I haven't seen you forever! Can you e-mail me when you are going to play and I will see if I can make it?
