What up Today?

I'm in a holding pattern today. I'm waiting until tonight to pick up Nick from soccer practice. I get him until Friday afternoon since he doesn't have school.

I don't yet know my weekend plans as I'm waiting for lines. I don't have the kids so the possibilities are endless. there are things I should do, things I want to do and then what really happens.

With all the stuff I need to get done in my life it sure involves a lot of waiting. I guess I never really noticed it as much before. I don't think I have less patience. it must be I don't like the interim phase. I want to know where I'm actually going not just trying to head that way.

Don't see this post as negative just pondering. i always say nick doesn't handle change well. I like to think I do. I just don't usually have so much at once. I really haven't had the time to process it all. maybe that's what I'll do while I'm waiting.

Here, do something for me please. Let me know you read this by answering this question. "My favorite thing about fall is... " or a favorite memory. you can use the comments or g-mail me. I'd like to know who reads my blog. (and why?!?) I'm waiting.....

so far i've heard from two guys who only love fall for the rain=cold. what about hay rides, new apple crop, pretty colors, short plaid skirts, and romantic evenings in front of a roaring fire?

i'm so glad to have your support on this issue.

would you settle for trendy athletic shoes and a conserative white cotton blouse? maybe pigtails...

My favorite thing about fall would have to be the mud puddles that are so abundant between me and my car wherever I go. I always tell myself to go around but this overwhelming need to jump over it takes control!! I try and leap over the damm things but as always its not good enough and I don’t quite make it. So with soaking socks and shoes I go home and take a bath (it’s the only time of year that I take bathes). Now here is my question...why can a cow be out in the rain and will don’t change its shape but my shoes do? After all they are made out of leather too.

Marta-
Hi! This is Amber of Angie and Amber (we're sold seperately too!) and I have been a bit of lurker on your blog. I got here from one of the other CSZ members blog, and I stay for the upbeat reminders and inspiration that you have in/about your life. I like to hear how things are goin' for you and send positive vibes your way when things aren't so good. It's nice to check up on friends at work, (versus you know, just work) and am trying to out myself as a lurker and maybe make some comments and such.
Having said all that, I love fall. I especially love the crisp air in the morning, it's a feeling you can almost smell or a smell you can almost taste or something like that. I love the changing colors of trees and jumping in leaf piles (no yard this year-might be a bit tougher than normal). I enjoy rain while I am inside and the smelll of it coming when I am outside. I like the hunker down and hibernate feel, the pull-the-covers-over-my-head-for-just-a-few-more-minutes kind of life and the relief of overwhelming warmness (not that summer is always like that but you know). I love (LUFF for all you fametrackers out there)pumpkins and squash and gourds and jack/jill-o-lanterns and candy in all different sizes and getting trick-or-treaters that are four and dressed like chickens.
Ok, there's a few of my opinions--careful what you ask for aye? sorry to ramble--hope things are going well for you!

Amber, thanks for the nice compliments. I'm glad you came out of the closet (he he he) and posted.

I have some of the same feelings about fall you do. other seasons are nice but the change of fall into winter is the most enjoyable to me.thanks for sharing and please do so anytime.

go give Angie a big sloppy kiss from me and tell her it was fun to play on her team all weekend! we dont usually get to play on the same team since we are the only women playing on a given weekend.
