Into the Ocean end it all

When I was not yet four the sneaker waves on the beach at the seawall in San Francisco tried to take me. I was dragged out into the ocean fifty yards but with a lucky grab (he could not see me through the foam and sand) I was saved by my uncle. It was November so I was wearing jeans and a heavy pullover hoodie. With all the sand and water in my clothes my uncle almost couldn't pull me out. If not for a lucky grab I would have been gone - out to sea. I wonder if I changed some balance by not going out to sea. Oddly the very thing that almost ended my life is my "Tera". (Gone With the Wind)

I have had an interesting life. I hope to enjoy more good times in what is left of my life. Some might say I have had more than my share of tough times. Whatever I am suposed to learn from all of this living is not clear. I do have a strength in me I had not known I possessed and have learned that I am my own pillar of strength. That is a good feeling.
