Another week in June

Another crazy work week comes to an end. I still have yet to make a full complete week at the temp job. I relapsed again on Tuesday with the stomach bug. I started feeling queasy and ridiculously sleepy around 8am (started work at 7am) By 10 I was not well and at 10:15 I had to leave. I didn't want to throw up at work. I got home to find Nick home sick too. I went to bed and stayed there until 3ish. The next day was tough and long. Nick was still sick and missed school Wednesday. I had a job interview after work and got home feeling icky and tired. The interview went well. I missed CSz workshop, again. I talked to some others at work and they had the same problem relapsing too.

Thursday after work I had to go to the WinCo (I was watching out for crazy ladies in compact cars aiming for me in the lot!) to get some Boboli's and other stuff. Very quick trip because I was going to Bike 'n' Hike to pick up the borrowed bike! A friend had a year old bike comparable to mine that he had ridden less than five times! He told me I could rent to own the bike if I wanted. I took it to Bike'n'Hike to see if they thought it was a good size for me. They said it is a great fit for me and needed no work done. I got the puncture resistant tubes, a wire kit for my onboard computer, a side mirror and a front bag. I used the donated funds to get these items. I still need some other safety items but it is a great start. Money is, as always, a deterrent. Working on it.

Last night I had to rush home after grabbing a pizza from Papa Murphy's to tape the
UnRadio Show. We started around 5ish and finished after 7ish. It was so much fun. You should go right now to listen to me on episode 17.

Gonna go ride my new (to me) bike! See ya!

So much to tell you!

I am going to be on the UnRadio Show as a (guest) co-host! We record my (1st) show on Thursday so it should be out on Friday. They heard about us on the Rumor Girls and that is where I first heard of them. Travis (from UnRadio) started listening to us and as he said "Got hooked!" Ken had been listening to them and when Travis said he was looking for a female co-host Ken sent Travis a link of a promo I tried to make! Ken says it's the funniest 10 minutes out there. He posted it on the Mediocre show forum as it was a promo for their show. that link Eric and Taylor under off topic crap >shameless self promotion. Anyway check out the UnRadio show at UnRadio Show

The other "project" I am excited about is I have started wrestling school to train to become a Valet! A Valet is the person that escorts the wrestler out to the ring. I started on Sunday training for this adventure. The first thing they teach you is the basics of wrestling. I learned how to do holds/moves, get out of holds, how to properly take a fall and lots of basic safety. They really stress safety at this school. I had a blast! Since I have an acting background already I'm ahead of the game. Joseph has taught me a lot about the sport while we watch it together. He tells me moves, tricks and generally telling me about the sport he is passionate about. I'm very excited to pursue this but money is a slight obstacle's right now. Thankfully it's pay as you go school so maybe I can attend a couple times a month. They don't do workout plans but work you on your skill and character(s). The three hours you are there on Sunday morning is a workout! I really learned a lot already and feel I would be good at this. I have lots to think about and remember!

I have been a fan of wrestling for the past couple of years and have felt especially locally there is a need for women in the sport. It would be great to participate in a sport I enjoy watching and improv a character in this venue.

A job I have applied for twice now and just missed is already filled but the owner of the coffee house liked my cover letter so much she asked to meet with me this week! She said she might be able to fit me in. It is a coffee house in my 'hood! Keep good vibes going my way!

Now for the wacky story that keeps going. My bike was stolen in early May. I looked on CraigsList in case the person tried to sell it. Never saw an ad for mine but there were a lot for stolen bikes especially in my neighborhood. A news story that came out the middle of last week said the police had busted a bike ring! I called the non-emergency number to see if I could get any information. They gave me two phone numbers to call and said it will be days/weeks to get all of it sorted and processed. The property room happens to be next door to Nicks school so he went over to see if he could get any information. They told him give them a couple days and try back. They may have my bike! That would be so cool but I am not holding my breath. I'll let you know.

In case you didn't already download it Episode 13 is up for your listening pleasure!
