OMFG! t has outdone herself!

I was floored when I got to t's today. I was expected the one "Cluster" piece but I was surprised with two necklaces, two earrings and a bracelet! She made such beautiful pieces from the two vintage amber necklaces and the black onyx. The insane thing is with all she has made for me already she still has more pieces of amber to work with to make more! I gave her some uncultured fresh water pearl pieces that are vintage as well (I wore them when I was first married) and we talked about the using the last of the butterscotch amber with the pearls as well as re-making a bridal necklace I like of hers. I'm not planning to get married but love the piece. It would be a nice dress up piece that is more interesting than what I had and did not wear. I love the direction her jewelry making has been going since her 365 project started. She is on such a roll! Please support an artist and buy some of her beautiful pieces. In case you did not get the memo she does custom work. She really listens to what you want and deliverers! (and then some!) That is the understatement of the year.

Helloooo and happy creative Sunday

t has been busy again. She took two different amber necklaces and one onyx bead necklace and made this necklace so far. She has more ideas and many pieces left over. She is on her 365 a piece a day project. I hope to keep her going. I really love that she takes my old jewels and re-vamps them into something I am excited to wear! We talked about other pieces for her to make. She is making earrings, bracelets and more necklaces. Very fun waiting to see what she does next! Stay tuned. . . .

I have one day off this week. Anyway, I got some chores done and some small projects done so I can sew. I originally made the folding screen that is separating the kitchen from the living room to use at my bedroom door for privacy. I don't like to close my bedroom door especially in the summer because it blocks our cross ventilation. I came up with all sorts of ideas but the easiest and least expensive is to make a short curtain that hangs by a tension bar. That is my sewing project today. I love the fabric that I got last week for 40 o/o off! It is a fabric that looks good on either side. One side is coppery-gold and the "right" side is a soft turquoise paisley pattern.

Who knew beads could be so cool

Even though I'm still not feeling well I went with t to the Gem Faire at the Convention Center. I was interested to learn more about why and how t chooses the beads and decides what to make with them. She was surprised at my interest in the process. She said no one had ever inquired about her process before. I enjoyed my time at the show and even gave her a project! I took a necklace of vintage black glass beads with me. I love the beads but the necklace is too long and old fashion. I brought them with me and showed it to t asking if she could do something with it. In one of the booths I found some varied copper colored pearls in unusual shapes. The string of 30ish pearls was on sale for $7. t thinks they will be fabulous together! She is going to make a necklace and possibly a fitted bracelet to match! Very cool. I don't often get a chance to hang with t except for skating on Wednesdays. I love to see Mr.t and Master t but it is fun to do girly stuff - no boys allowed.

t (aka Tabitha or t'Betcha) makes wonderful jewelry she sells on Etsy. She is part of a Cyber Monday BOGO sale with some other Etsy sellers on November 29th. (If you buy something tell I sent ya) I have marked a few of her pieces as favorites that I would like to get myself.

I will post photos as soon as t sends them to me. I sent the necklace and pearls home with her.
