Yo Quiero Sin Cara!

I enjoy watching wrestling when it's on however I don't appreciate the story lines. Sometimes I wonder how stupid do they think their viewers are? What I watch wrestling it is for the action! Last night they did not have my Rey Rey (Rey Mysterio) but a Lucha wrestler named Sin Cara. His match was rather short but I look forward to more matches in the future. The style of Lucha wrestling is so acrobatic! I occionally watch the spanish channel too see wrestling. Lucha Libre is awesome!

Okay, I do watch WWE for John Cena. I have said it before and I will say it again (for the cheap seats in the back) "I don't like a man with too many muscles." The acceptation to that statement is John Cena. He is just so adorable! He has persona, cute dimples, great laugh, great wrestling style and he is one of my favorite body types. No, not the muscles! Long waist-ed. It's just not fair how adorable he is! Santa Baby was not nice to me. He did not bring the new WWE DVD collection of John Cena for Christmas. I think I was good last year and god knows I put up with some serious crazy! I am a member of the Chain Gang, Yo!

Edge announced he had to retire due to possible life-threatening injury if he wrestles again. If that is true I feel badly for him. He was on both WWE shows last week announcing his retiring. He said he was not ready to retire. He did not like being forced into a decision but would rather leave on his own terms. I'm sure we can all relate to that sentiment. Edge "The Rated R Super Star" was not my favorite by any means but I appreciate his longevity in a tough biz. I did like the way he would enter the ring. I would like to think if I ever got that far into local wrestling I could of entered that way. I wish him good luck and enjoy life after wrestling.

It got me thinking about my own life and choices made for me. My DVT, unemployment and some relationships. Some choices that are made for you aren't bad or long-term but some have long-lived repercussions that truly change everything. I can really relate to Edge's statement about wanting to end things on your own terms.

Wrestling is awesome!

I know I've said it before but I love wrestling! It is improv at it's finest. It's gymnastics, martial arts, dance, comic humor, improv and so much more rolled into one great performance. These are athletes that keep themselves in top shape while touring the country to entertain us.

Since I started watching earlier this year out of curiosity I have turned into a big fan. At first I watched a few matches to see what my fellow Eugene players were talking about. Soon I was tuning in to see what would happen next. My boys were slightly shocked to call on a Monday or Thursday night to say good night and heard wrestling in the back round. They were puzzled by this since I refused to watch wrestling with them at their peak interest in the 6th grade. They fought it at first but soon they were calling me during matches to see if I saw what happened. We have enjoyed watching, talking and going to wrestling.

I took my boys to the PPV live taping of Unforgiven. The match was in September but we got the tickets about a month earlier. We talked about the possibilities of who would be there and who we wanted to see. I must say we were pleased by the participants and outcomes. We all agreed we wanted to see Chris Benoit. His aggressive style and good natured personality is a great combination. He did not disappoint. The one disappointment was that Edge got injured prior to the PPV and was not in attendance.

I have attended some local matches as well. I've been to 2 or 3 PNPW matches at the Milwaulkie Elks Lodge. I find them entertaining and the fan base is families. Whole families go (teens to infants) and have a great time together. Gives a new meaning to "family Show". The fans are loyal and most of the wrestlers say hi to them as they come out to the ring.

I have enjoyed viewing this sport and have great respect for the athletics that participate. I will be a fan for life. It's also nice to have another thing to share with my boys. If you haven't viewed wrestling lately perhaps you should try again. See it in a new light and enjoy it for the pure entertainment it will give you.

Life is good! Welcome to Marta's World!

It is SOOOO good to be Me! The only downer I can think of right now is that I have to put clthes on to go to the bathroom. Believe me I DO! My rented room is upstairs and the bathroom is at the bottom of the stairs. The living room , owners bedroom and den are all right there.

Watched some more of the tape last night with the boys. I already watched Charmed (sigh) but saved the WWE Smack down and TNA X-match to view with the boys. The smack down was the day after our PPV we went to. I LOVED seeing HHH slipping around on confetti and cake frosting! For the new heavy weight champ they are making him look like a buffoon. :)

The TNA match was really good. To be honest I didn't know what it was when I read it off the box. It was four guys competing for the belt. Similar to a ladder match but no ladders allowed. Those guys have some awesome moves! One thing I really liked was the aggressive style and no hesitation in executing moves. It is a bit too dramatic in the WWE. Total Nonstop Action - nice.

Simple Alert!! I was told some time ago by my brilliant older son I couldn't rearrange my favorites on the computer. I could add or delete but that was all. HA! I found out by accident that I could move things around to my liking. I'm sure I spent too much time doing this only because it was fun! I have the informative stuff at the top for quick access. Right after that is all the wrestling links I have. The middle is everybody's blogs and journals followed by fun sites I visit. After that is all the comedy stuff and on the very bottom any log in things I don't want to have to search for. I cant tell you how many times I thought to myself " I wish I could put like things together." It's just so cool I want to play! No time with two teenagers nagging for me to be done. I have already gone over an hour.

Lots more to say but I will give the boys a break. They still don't have computer at their dads until a good progress report comes out.

Happy Saturday kids! Be nice to someone and make their day. (or leave them wondering)
